Recital
The recital is held at the RP Funding Center's Youkey Theatre. Parking is $10 (card only). The RP Funding center charges this fee.
Doors will open at 2:00, an hour before showtime. Please do not try to enter the theatre before this time.
Theatre’s Rules
Only staff, dancers, stage moms's, and authorized personnel are allowed backstage. Passes are required.
Please be sure to take good care of the theater, pick up after yourselves leaving no trash around you.
We would like to stay in good standing with the theatre so we need your help!
Recital Etiquette
We want our recital to be enjoyable for both our audience and our dancers, so we ask that cell phones, and video cameras be put away. Flash photography will not be permitted. We ask this so that we are courteous to those in the audience, and most importantly so that our dancers are safe and free of distractions. We have hired a professional videographer to record the show, and all families will receive one DVD.
We also ask that you remain in your seats through the entire show. If you must get up, please do so between the dances so that others site lines are not impaired. You wouldn't want someone so miss their child's dance and vice versa! We will also be having a 15 minute intermission, so you will have some time to stretch your legs and move around.
Dancers will not be released until the show is concluded. We do this for several reasons. One of our goals as a studio is to help teach our dancers how to be ladies who carry themselves with grace. Part of that includes selflessness, so our dancers are required to sit and watch each performance as other dancers have kindly watched their's. We ask that audience members please do the same. We also want to be courteous to our stage moms who have graciously volunteered their time to supervise your dancers. They have been assigned tasks at designated times so that things run smoothly and so that they can also enjoy the show. Most importantly we have this rule for security purposes. Everything must function in an orderly fashion and at a designated time to keep your dancer safe. Your dancer's safety is of upmost importance to us and we want to be sure that each student is released to their parent, so please help us us out by following our rules.
*Reminder: As a play or sports event, the recital is a full performance/event. We had several dancers who came to us with broken sprits after previous recitals because they could see that there was an empty audience towards the end of the show. Our dancers are not just dancing for those they invite, as this is a performance and is intended for many to watch.
**Additionally, no calls, texts, or emails will be answered on Saturday, being that it is a very busy day.
