3:00 Show- Dancer Arrival/Check in:
4-5/4-6 yr olds check in: In the lobby 2:00-2:30
6-7/7-9 yr olds check in: In the lobby 2:00-2:30
8-10 yr olds check in: Backstage at their dressing room 2:00-2:30
11-13 yr olds check in: Backstage at their dressing room 2:00-2:30
14+ Miss Kaley will advise you on your arrival time, moms will not need to check in.
*Dancer check in will conclude at 2:30 sharp. You cannot be late!
Dancers must be in their seats in the student section no later than 2:45! We will not hold the show.
*You will check in at at the table with the age group of your child's class. Ex. If your child is in 4-5 classes but they just turned 6, they still check in in the 4-5 section.
**Stage moms arrive at 1:45 for stage mom meeting.
Check In/Dismissal (2-3 yr olds- not applicable)
Only one parent/guardian should be present at check in. Please look for the sign with your dancers class/song. Upon check in, you will receive a card with your dancers name. You must have that card for your dancer to be released to you at anytime, so we encourage you to put it straight into your wallet. (We do this for security purposes so that your dancer is released to the proper person, as their safety is the most important thing to us).
Only moms who are signed up to be stage moms are permitted to sit in the student section. Authorized staff will only be allowed in the student section during the show. This is for security purposes. We allow our dancers in the audience so that they can also enjoy the show. However, we will be keeping them in a separate section so that our stage moms can easily monitor where dancers are at all times and so that classes can move safely and easily when it is their time to go backstage. For security purposes and out of respect for all dancers, students will not be released until check out which will be at the conclusion of the recital. 4-5, 4-6, 6-7, and 7-9 students are to be picked up at the conclusion of the show in the student section. 8-10 & 11-13 students are to be checked out on the stage at the end of the show. 14+ students are to be picked up in their dressing rooms at the conclusion of the show. We appreciate you working with us to keep your children safe.
Backstage
Only Staff, Dancers, and Stage Moms are allowed backstage. No men are allowed backstage at anytime except for those who are on staff, or the dads who are participating in the guys dance (at their specified times).
Costume Changes
Dancers in the Ballet/Tap Combo classes will not change costumes, only shoes.
Dancers in the 4-5, 4-6, 6-7, 7-9 age groups who TAKE BOTH a combo class and jazz/hip hop will have their moms help them change. Mom’s should leave their seats as soon as their dancer’s song ends and meet the group in the lobby. There they will show their dancer ID card and take their child to change in the lobby restroom. The mom will then take the dancer to the next class’ section to be seated (if for any reason there is not enough time to return the dancer to the proper section before her next dance, mom should take her to the stage door).
Dancers in the 8-10, 11-13, 14+ age groups will be responsible for their costume changes. Stage moms will direct and assist their coming and going to the dressing rooms and stage.
*Please label all costumes and shoes somewhere on the inside so there are no mix ups.
